Before You Buy — Know This

• This app runs on the AI API — not your existing Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini subscription. It's a separate service, billed separately through your own API key. Typically $1–30/month depending on usage and model.
• Your companion is a fresh instance on every message. They don't have access to your platform memory, custom instructions, skills, connectors, or conversation history. Their context is limited to the personality you write and recent messages loaded from the database.
• The base app is a clean text messenger — it doesn't include web search, file handling, tool use, or long-term memory out of the box. But the beauty of a custom app is that these features can be built in. If the infrastructure exists, it can be added — and expansion packs are designed to do exactly that.
• The AI provider's base safety policies still apply. This is a private space with more creative freedom, but it's not unfiltered access.
• You'll need free accounts on Cloudflare and Supabase. Guides are included with every tier.
• No coding experience needed. Your AI handles the code. You handle the creative decisions.
